Non seulement litt\u00e9ralement \u2014 en montrant des \u0153uvres qui peuvent \u00eatre observ\u00e9es de plusieurs c\u00f4t\u00e9s \u2014 mais aussi mentalement : comment regardons-nous r\u00e9ellement le textile, l\u2019art, la mati\u00e8re\u2026 et les autres ? <\/p><p>La commissaire et artiste textile Lieve Vanmaele est partie d\u2019une observation simple mais aigu\u00eb : nous avons l\u2019habitude de regarder les choses d\u2019un seul c\u00f4t\u00e9. Un tableau a une face, un tapis un bon c\u00f4t\u00e9, un espace une direction. Mais le textile s\u2019y oppose. Il poss\u00e8de structure, profondeur, perm\u00e9abilit\u00e9 et tactilit\u00e9. Il existe gr\u00e2ce aux couches.    <\/p><p>Et c\u2019est pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment cela qui est devenu le point de d\u00e9part de cette exposition.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-de004ef elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"de004ef\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">L\u2019espace comme tissage<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1e15df2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1e15df2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Au lieu d\u2019une pr\u00e9sentation classique, Vanmaele a choisi une intervention spatiale. De fins fils reliaient les \u0153uvres de six artistes \u2014 Katrien Everaert, Trui Demarcke, Janne Gistelinck, Ina Hillewig, Mileen Malbrain et Hilde Windels \u2014 en un seul ensemble. Non comme d\u00e9coration, mais comme une sorte d\u2019architecture de lignes.  <\/p><p>Elle a d\u00e9crit son r\u00f4le de mani\u00e8re frappante : \u00ab <em>subtilement absente<\/em> \u00bb.<\/p><p>La commissaire n\u2019\u00e9tait pas une metteuse en sc\u00e8ne qui positionne des \u0153uvres, mais plut\u00f4t une tisserande rendant visibles les relations. L\u2019exposition n\u2019\u00e9tait donc pas une collection d\u2019objets, mais un champ de tensions : l\u00e9ger versus lourd, doux versus dur, nature versus technologie, visible versus cach\u00e9. <\/p><p>M\u00eame le son y avait sa place. L\u2019artiste sonore Eline Vanduyver (E_Mousai) a cr\u00e9\u00e9 un paysage sonore compos\u00e9 d\u2019enregistrements de m\u00e9tiers \u00e0 tisser. Le rythme du travail, autrefois purement fonctionnel, devenait audible comme po\u00e9sie \u2014 et en m\u00eame temps comme industrie. Il n\u2019\u00e9tait presque pas question de v\u00eatement ou de d\u00e9coration. Il \u00e9tait question de perception.  <\/p><ul><li><strong>Katrien Everaert<\/strong> explore le deuil et l\u2019espoir dans des \u0153uvres stratifi\u00e9es o\u00f9 le sisal, le papier et la cire se croisent. Son travail montre que les \u00e9motions ne sont jamais unidimensionnelles. <\/li><li><strong>Trui Demarcke<\/strong> travaille autour de la gravit\u00e9 : l\u00e9ger et lourd n\u2019y apparaissent pas comme des oppos\u00e9s mais comme des forces li\u00e9es.<\/li><li><strong>Janne Gistelinck<\/strong> part du tissage jacquard et de son code binaire \u2014 pr\u00e9curseur historique de l\u2019ordinateur \u2014 et entrelace corps, paysage et technologie en une nouvelle r\u00e9alit\u00e9.<\/li><li><strong>Ina Hillewig<\/strong> utilise des peluches issues de v\u00eatements port\u00e9s. Le d\u00e9chet devient m\u00e9moire : traces des corps et du temps. <\/li><li>Mileen Malbrain construit un laboratoire fictif o\u00f9 fil de fer et pots de yaourt d\u00e9form\u00e9s \u00e9voquent de nouveaux organismes \u2014 quelque part entre plante et animal.<\/li><li><strong>Hilde Windels<\/strong> travaille le lin comme une peau entre l\u2019humain et l\u2019espace, une mati\u00e8re qui capte la lumi\u00e8re et rend l\u2019architecture visible.<\/li><\/ul><p>Fil conducteur : le textile n\u2019est plus un m\u00e9dium mais une mani\u00e8re de penser. L\u2019ombre devient image. La transparence devient forme. Ce qui semblait d\u00e9coratif acquiert du sens. Le textile oblige litt\u00e9ralement le visiteur \u00e0 bouger et \u00e0 regarder autrement.    <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Et c\u2019est peut-\u00eatre la le\u00e7on la plus importante de cette exposition :<br>le textile ne parle pas de surface.
